Redhill Peninsula, located in Tai Tam, Hong Kong, is a 3,500-square-foot three-story bungalow, home to an elderly couple and their young children. The design balances intergenerational tastes with contemporary aesthetics, integrating classic materials such as natural marble, leather and metal trim to create an understated and elegant light luxury residence with luxury hidden in the details.
At the entrance, the retro texture of the bronze steel door nails blends harmoniously with the transparent texture of the glass facade, subtly unifying the space style; the floating shoe cabinet paired with the brown mirror not only broadens the visual hierarchy, but also makes the space more transparent and concise, showing calm and elegance as soon as you enter the door. The staircase is specially widened at the starting stage, with a sense of ritual and comfortable scale in every step, connecting the three floors while becoming a scenic line that combines practicality and aesthetics in the home.
With large viewing windows, the living room seamlessly introduces the magnificent mountain and sea scenery of Tai Tam into the room, with natural scenery in every sight; the marble floor tiles have a luxurious and elegant texture, and are easy to take care of. Paired with contrasting color edging, they add rich layers to the space and break the sense of monotony. The TV wall is mainly made of natural marble with matching grains, paired with the warm light of brass wall lamps and the transparent texture of straight-grained glass, which is grand but not ostentatious; the circular sofa combination is flexible and movable, which can not only gather around to chat and share family happiness, but also lean against the window to watch the sea and enjoy the scenery quietly, which is visually harmonious and full of the warmth of home.
The dining room is equipped with an Italian dark red marble dining table, whose natural texture has a high-grade texture. Paired with bronze steel and glass cabinets, it shows taste in low profile. The family sits around for meals, feeling the warmth of daily life in an elegant atmosphere. The son's room uses gray textured floor tiles with light-colored fabric walls, removing complicated decorations to create an elegant and quiet growth space that suits the aesthetic preferences of the younger generation; the master bedroom is located high, with a panoramic view of the mountains and sea. The blue-green tone lays a gentle background, and the gray fabric metal wall and lake green relief are cleverly dotted, injecting a strong artistic atmosphere. Even the small details such as the leather cabinet door handles hide ingenuity, interpreting the inner connotation of light luxury life.
